Colorado Renew Plates Vehicle Registration 

This online state service allows you to renew one or several of your automobiles online with the state of Colorado.  You can use a credit card or electronic check to renew your plates.  Colorado.gov/RenewPlates is operated by a third party in association with the state of Colorado.  Any fees for the online service provided will be credited to the state treasury to help make Colorado a better place to live, work and play.  To renew your plates online you will need the following:

  1. your license plate number
  2. a valid email address
  3. a valid form of payment (credit card, debit card, or checking account information which would be your bank routing number and account number)
  4. proof of insurance for the vehicle you are renewing
  5. emission test data when applicable

Certain veterans in the state of Colorado are exempt from taxes and fees.  Please contact the Department of Veterans Affairs for more information about this benefit.  The Veteran Affairs can be reached at 800-827-1000.

It should also be noted that ONLY these counties in the state of Colorado are eligible to renew their plates online: Adams, Alamosa, Arapahoe, Archuleta, Boulder, Broomfield, Chaffee, Conejos, Delta, Denver, Dolores, Douglas, Eagle, El Paso, Elbert, Fremont, Garfield, Gilpin, Grand, Gunnison, Jefferson, La Plata, Larimer, Lincoln, Logan, Mesa, Moffat, Montezuma, Montrose, Morgan, Ouray, Park, Pitkin, Pueblo, Rio Blanco, Rio Grande, Routt, San Miguel, Sedgwick, Summit, Teller, Washington, Weld, Yuma.

Tax payers in Adams County, Colorado can perform a variety of tax related activities online at the AdcoTax website.  If you are making a delinquent tax payment the payment must be made with cash or certified funds.  You are not allowed to use a credit card when paying a delinquent tax.  You can search for your tax account information by providing the Account Number, or Parcel Number (no dashes) or Situs Address.  You only need to fill in ONE or two fields to search for an account.  This advance search method allows you to find the following tax information:
